Fair Housing

Our Fair Housing Commitment

Sloan Properties, Inc. is an equal housing opportunity brokerage. We follow the federal Fair Housing Act and the Florida Fair Housing Act in every sale, purchase, rental and referral we handle, and we expect the same of every agent who works with us.

Who is protected

Federal and Florida law make it illegal to discriminate in the sale, rental, financing or advertising of housing because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability or familial status. Familial status covers households with children under 18 and people who are pregnant. Some Florida counties and cities add more protections by local ordinance, and we follow those where they apply.

What that means when you work with us

  • We show every client the homes that fit their needs and budget, in every area they ask about. We do not steer anyone toward or away from a neighborhood.
  • We describe homes and neighborhoods by their features, not by who lives there or who should live there.
  • We do not answer questions about the race, religion, national origin or family makeup of a neighborhood. For school questions, we point you to the school district’s own boundary and school grade tools.
  • We make reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities, such as communicating in the format that works best for you.
  • If a seller or landlord asks us to discriminate, we decline.
