Errol Estate Real Estate: Established Apopka Living Near Wekiva

Errol Estate is an established community in Apopka, built in the 1970s around a 27-hole golf course that opened in the early 1970s. It sits west of Wekiwa Springs State Park, with about 30 homeowner associations covering roughly 2,500 homes along Errol Parkway and Vick Road.

Single-family homes near the former clubhouse sold for a median of $427,500 over the 12 months ending April 2026, and condos and townhomes for a median of $190,000, based on county records.

Source: Orange County Property Appraiser sale records, qualified arm’s-length sales over $50,000, May 2025 through April 2026, for homes within about 0.9 miles of the former Errol Estate clubhouse site on Errol Parkway. County records, not MLS data. Sales after April 2026 are left out because the county is still recording them. A circle on a map does not follow subdivision lines exactly, so treat these as a close guide to the neighborhood.

The Former Golf Course

The golf course, clubhouse and tennis courts closed after a 2018 redevelopment plan stalled, and the clubhouse was later demolished. Lawsuits and liens followed. In July 2025, Driven Apopka LLC, tied to BodyArmor co-founder Mike Repole, bought the roughly 380-acre property. The new owner has not announced plans.

If you are buying a home on the former course, plan for uncertainty about what the land becomes. I watch City of Apopka agendas and will tell you what is filed, and I factor the current view and condition of the course into the price.

What Homes Sold For

Across all 110 recorded sales, 33 were under $300,000 (mostly condos and townhomes), 24 sold between $300,000 and $399,999, 34 between $400,000 and $499,999, 17 between $500,000 and $749,999, one between $750,000 and $999,999, and one above $1 million. The single-family median was $430,000 for May to October 2025 and $415,000 for November 2025 to April 2026, on fewer sales in the later period.

Homes range from the original 1970s houses to newer infill, so age, roof, plumbing and insurance cost make a big difference. I compare recorded sales of similar age before setting a price.
